  5. Uranus Transits: Navigating Unexpected Changes

Transits from Uranus bring sudden, often unexpected change — shocks, breakthroughs, and a break from old patterns that clear the way for something new. Some changes happen step by step; others hit like a lightning bolt, which is why astrologers say, “expect the unexpected.”

In my consulting practice, I’ve seen Uranus transits and solar arcs bring both exciting opportunities and sudden shifts in circumstances. In many cases, these transits arise when someone is ready for major change. However, stepping into the unknown can stir up old anxieties, as the familiar structures that once provided stability begin to shift.

In this article, we’ll explore the effects of Uranus transits on each natal planet and share key mindsets to help you navigate these periods of change with greater ease.

Quick Answers:

What does a Uranus transit mean?

A Uranus transit occurs when transiting Uranus forms an aspect to a planet or point in your natal chart, injecting energy into areas of life that have grown stagnant and often triggering sudden change or a breakthrough toward greater authenticity.

How long does a Uranus transit last?

A Uranus transit typically lasts about a year or more, since Uranus’s retrograde motion causes it to pass over the same natal point three times — sometimes five.

Uranus Transit to Natal Sun

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Sun

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Sun

Uranus-Sun Transit: Unexpected Shift in Life Direction

The Sun represents your core identity and life purpose. When transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) to your natal Sun, it often signals a major shift in your sense of self and life direction.

Externally, you may find yourself in a completely new situation that pushes you to tap into unexplored aspects of your personality and talents. For example, if you’re a business owner facing an unexpected setback, you may need to reassess what no longer works and develop a fresh approach.

These sudden changes can also emerge in other areas, such as family, relationships, or health—any of which may demand your attention, requiring you to adapt and redirect your energy.

Unexpected for you, or for others?

A Uranus-Sun transit can feel like an external event that happens to you, but just as often, you’re the one initiating the change you need.

In this case, the “unexpected change” may be more surprising to those around you. Others might see you shifting direction, exploring new interests, or making bold decisions—such as quitting a job that no longer excites you or picking up a hobby no one saw coming.

Transiting Uranus amplifies your Sun’s drive to be yourself and express your individuality more freely. As a result, your choices may start to diverge from what friends and family expect of you—and that can be a healthy, necessary step toward living authentically.

A Real-Life Example: Ursula Burns

In 2009, Ursula Burns experienced transiting Uranus opposing her natal Sun when she became the first African American woman to lead a Fortune 500 company. This marked a profound shift in her identity and life direction—both personally and professionally. Her rise to CEO was not only unexpected but also a groundbreaking milestone in the business world, reshaping expectations and setting a powerful example for future leaders.

Uranus Transit to Natal Moon

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Moon

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Moon

Uranus-Moon Transit: Emotional Upheavals and Awakening

The Moon represents your emotions, home, and sense of security—the things that make you feel safe and connected. When transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) to your natal Moon, it can disrupt familiar settings like work, relationships, or family life, leading to emotional upheaval.

During these shifts, you may notice old, familiar thought patterns (sometimes called emotional schemas) surfacing, such as:

  • Deprivation: I won’t have enough love, support, or resources.
  • Abandonment: I’ll be left alone.
  • Overwhelm: Everything is out of control, and I can’t handle it.

Interestingly, Uranus can also bring a sense of detached awareness to your emotions. This transit may allow you to step back and observe these patterns more objectively. By recognizing them, you have the opportunity to reframe your emotional responses—reminding yourself that you do have control or you are supported—and reshape the way you process change.

Intensification of Your Moon’s Needs

Transiting Uranus can amplify the core emotional needs represented by your natal Moon. These include basic needs for emotional comfort and belonging, as well as the deeper desires reflected by your Moon’s sign and house placement.

For example, during a Uranus-Moon transit:

  • If your Moon is in a fire sign, you may feel a stronger need for self-assertion and recognition, while those with a water sign Moon may experience heightened sensitivity and emotional vulnerability.
  • If your Moon is in an air sign, you may feel a greater urge to express yourself and connect with others, whereas a Moon in an earth sign may amplify the need to be productive and create something worthwhile.
  • If your Moon is in the 10th house, Uranus may intensify your drive for career recognition and public validation, while a Moon in the 12th house may awaken a deeper longing for spiritual or artistic exploration.

This transit can bring sudden shifts that challenge or awaken these needs, pushing you to find new ways of fulfilling them.

Uranus Transit to Natal Mercury

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Mercury

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Mercury

Uranus-Mercury Transit: Mind on Fire

Transiting Uranus in hard aspect (conjunction, square or opposition) to your natal Mercury electrifies your thinking, making this a mentally stimulating—but potentially overwhelming—time. You may find yourself in a new situation that requires you to learn, adapt, and process information rapidly just to keep up.

With your mind in overdrive, thoughts may race, and you might feel mentally restless. To channel this heightened mental energy productively, consider diving into a new subject, skill, or creative pursuit that keeps you engaged.

Without focus, however, this transit can lead to scattered thinking, nervous energy, and difficulty relaxing or sleeping. Finding ways to ground yourself—whether through structured learning, journaling, or mindfulness practices—can help you stay balanced during this fast-paced period.

Sudden Movement

Mercury governs travel, movement, and communication, so a Uranus-Mercury transit may coincide with sudden trips, job-related relocations, or unexpected changes in transportation—such as needing to buy a new car or switch up your daily commute.

These shifts can push you to adapt quickly to new surroundings, shaking you out of routine and offering a fresh perspective. While the rapid changes may feel disruptive at first, they can also refresh your mind and break you free from monotony.

Cultivating a Growth Mindset

Mercury represents your thinking patterns, and during a Uranus-Mercury transit, you may find yourself facing situations that challenge your usual ways of processing information. This is an ideal time to cultivate a growth mindset rather than a fixed one:

  • A fixed mindset assumes that abilities and intelligence are static, leading to feelings of overwhelm or resistance to change.
  • A growth mindset embraces learning and adaptation, seeing new challenges as opportunities for development.

The saying, “Be the person who leaves a conversation differently than when you entered it,” perfectly captures the attitude needed during this transit. Stay open, listen, adapt, and grow—you may find this period to be unexpectedly liberating.

Uranus Transit to Natal Venus

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Venus

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Venus

Uranus-Venus Transit: Energizing Relationships

Venus represents your relationship needs and values, and when transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect to your natal Venus, you may feel a stronger desire for excitement, spontaneity, and new connections.

This transit can manifest in various ways:

  • Encounters with unusual or intriguing people who bring fresh energy into your life.
  • A chance to reignite excitement in existing relationships that may have become routine.
  • Unexpected reunions with old friends or past partners looking to reconnect.

While Uranus transits often bring external changes in relationships, they also suggest an inner shift—you may be realizing that your current way of relating to others no longer fully satisfies you. If something feels missing, this is your opportunity to take bold action, even if it surprises those around you.

Monetary Effect

In addition to love and relationships, Venus also governs money and material resources. A Uranus-Venus transit can bring sudden financial shifts, which may manifest as:

  • Unexpected income increases, such as a promotion, bonus, or a lucrative opportunity.
  • A personal decision to take financial risks or pursue new income sources.
  • A desire to invest in comfort and luxury, reflecting an increased sense of self-worth.

Since Venus is tied to values and self-esteem, this transit may highlight deeper emotional patterns around money and self-worth. If you’ve struggled with valuing yourself, this can be a great time to redefine what you deserve, both financially and personally.

That said, Uranus transits can also bring financial uncertainty, such as sudden job loss or changes in business circumstances. If you face instability, see this as an opportunity to affirm your worth, think creatively, and explore new ways to build financial security. Adaptability will be key to navigating these shifts successfully.

Creative & Aesthetic Renewal

Venus rules beauty, creativity, and aesthetics, and when transiting Uranus activates your natal Venus, you may feel a strong urge to express your individuality in bold, unexpected ways.

  • You might experiment with a new look, updating your style to reflect an evolving sense of self.
  • A sudden creative surge could inspire you to explore art, music, fashion, or design in fresh, unconventional ways.
  • Through this process, you may discover hidden talents or perspectives that had previously gone untapped.

This transit encourages you to break free from artistic or aesthetic routines, allowing you to redefine your creative identity with newfound excitement and originality.

Uranus Transit to Natal Mars

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Mars

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Mars

Uranus-Mars Transit: Sudden Application of Great Energy

Mars governs action, drive, and assertiveness, and when transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square or opposition) to your natal Mars, you may experience sudden bursts of energy, motivation, or conflict. This transit often brings situations that require quick decisions and bold action.

Possible manifestations include:

  • A sudden shift in work or business that forces you to redirect your energy.
  • Unexpected events demanding immediate action, requiring you to be quick on your feet.
  • A clash of opinions that escalates into a major conflict or power struggle.

As with all Uranus transits, these changes can be external events or internal awakenings. You may feel an intense urge to break free, change direction, or start something new. This surge of energy can be exciting and empowering—just be mindful of acting impulsively without considering long-term consequences.

Independence and detachment from others’ opinions

A Uranus-Mars transit amplifies your individuality and self-assertion, making you more inclined to break free from external expectations. Your intuition may strongly push you toward a path that aligns with your own values, rather than conforming to societal norms or the opinions of others.

While traditions and rules serve a purpose, this transit may highlight a time when prioritizing your own needs and desires is essential for your well-being—both physically and psychologically.

Consider asking yourself:

  • Am I overextending myself for others? Do I need to set boundaries and take a break?
  • Have I neglected my own passions and interests in favor of supporting others?
  • Do I feel trapped by others’ expectations and need more freedom?

If you answered yes, this transit signals a time to reclaim your autonomy and rebalance your priorities. Taking bold, independent action now can be empowering and ultimately lead to greater self-fulfillment.

A Real-Life Example: Elon Musk’s Political Shift

When transiting Uranus activates natal Mars, your energy, motivation, and assertiveness can take an unexpected turn, often leading to a bold new direction.

For example, Elon Musk experienced transiting Uranus square his natal Mars from 2023 to the spring of 2024, a period that coincided with a noticeable shift in his political stance and involvement.

Initially, Musk stated that he would remain neutral in the 2024 U.S. Presidential election. However, during this Uranus-Mars transit, his position changed—particularly after a meeting with Donald Trump. Following this, Musk became a vocal supporter of Trump’s campaign and its largest donor.

Notably, this shift greatly expanded Musk’s power after the election, as his financial and public support gave him unprecedented political leverage. In effect, this transit upgraded the strength of his Mars in Aquarius, amplifying his ability to assert his views on a much larger scale.

Uranus Transit to Natal Jupiter

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Jupiter

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Jupiter

Uranus-Jupiter Transit or Solar Arc: The Big Break

Jupiter represents expansion, opportunities, and rewards. When transiting or solar arc Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) with natal Jupiter, it can signal a time of sudden breakthroughs, unexpected growth, or major leaps toward your goals.

While all transits carry both challenges and opportunities, Uranus-Jupiter transits are often associated with positive disruptions and exciting possibilities. Even harmonious aspects like the trine and sextile, which tend to be more subtle, can bring noticeable growth-oriented changes during this time.

That said, unchecked optimism can sometimes lead to reckless decisions. While the excitement of new opportunities can be invigorating, it’s important to stay grounded and make strategic choices. If approached wisely, this period can be a game-changer, offering breakthroughs that have the potential for long-term success.

Expanding Your Mind

Jupiter governs philosophy, beliefs, and higher learning, and when transiting Uranus activates your natal Jupiter, it can spark a radical expansion of your worldview.

A Uranus-Jupiter transit may inspire you to dive into spiritual studies, pursue higher education, or explore unconventional wisdom. You might find yourself drawn to new philosophies or belief systems that challenge your previous understanding, leading to breakthroughs in how you see the world.

As your perspective broadens, a renewed sense of optimism can emerge, helping you embrace change with excitement rather than fear. This period is a time of intellectual and spiritual awakening, often leading to ideas and insights that reshape your path forward.

Uranus Transit to Natal Saturn

Transit Uranus conjunct square or opposition natal Saturn

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Saturn

Uranus-Saturn Transit: A Surge of Ambition

Saturn governs discipline, ambition, and long-term goals, while Uranus brings sudden change and innovation. When transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) with your natal Saturn, you may experience a surge of motivation—a push to break free from limitations and pursue new, ambitious goals.

This transit can signal game-changing opportunities. Pay attention to emerging technologies, shifting industries, or groundbreaking ideas that could transform your career or business. With rapid advancements in areas like AI, automation, or digital platforms, you might discover new ways to work, grow, or even reinvent your professional path.

Balancing Progress with Stability

Uranus represents progress and disruption, while Saturn stands for tradition and structure. A Uranus-Saturn transit can create a push-and-pull effect—the desire to innovate clashing with the need to maintain stability.

If you run a business or lead a team, you might be excited about innovative new strategies, but find that your colleagues or employees are resistant to change. The key is to honor what’s working while embracing necessary evolution—some aspects of the old structure may still serve you, while others need to be reimagined.

On a personal level, this transit can trigger a deep reassessment of your commitments, routines, and relationships. You may feel inspired to explore new paths, yet encounter internal hesitation or external resistance. Change doesn’t have to be abrupt—small, steady adjustments can help integrate new possibilities without unnecessary disruption. However, if certain relationships, habits, or career structures no longer align with your evolving ambitions, this may be the time to let go of them.

Uranus Transit to Natal Uranus

Transit Uranus Square or Opposite Natal Uranus

Uranus takes 84 years to complete its cycle, meaning its transiting squares and oppositions to its natal position occur approximately every 21 years. These key moments often test your independence and individuality, bringing periods of rapid change, rebellion, and self-discovery.

Transiting Uranus Square Natal Uranus (Age 20-21): The First Leap into Independence

The first Uranus square at age 20-21 coincides with a period of uncertainty and transition. Many young adults are stepping into the workforce, navigating higher education, or making their first major life choices—often without clear guidance.

Astrologer Noel Tyl referred to this as “the first mistake” phase—a time when impulsive decisions can lead to learning experiences that shape your individuality. If you’ve developed independent thinking and the courage to forge your own path, this transit can be a launchpad for creative self-expression. Notable figures like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg were all working on their groundbreaking projects around this age.

However, for those still deeply influenced by parental expectations or societal pressure, missteps are common. Some may choose careers solely to please their parents, while others might rush into marriage or other major commitments as a way to escape home—decisions that may later lead to regret. Regardless of the choices made, this period plays a crucial role in shaping one’s emerging sense of independence.

Transiting Uranus Opposite Natal Uranus (Age 41-43): The Midlife Awakening

The Uranus opposition, occurring around ages 41-43, is famously known as the “midlife crisis” transit—a time of profound self-examination and reinvention. Noel Tyl described this phase as a “second adolescence”, a period where passion surges back into life, prompting bold moves in career, relationships, and self-expression.

At this stage, you may feel a strong urge to break free from stagnation. Careers, relationships, or lifestyles that once felt stable may now seem restrictive, leading you to seek excitement, purpose, or adventure. If personal desires were suppressed due to life’s responsibilities, this is the time to acknowledge them and find a more fulfilling outlet.

However, the energy of this transit can be erratic and impulsive, increasing the likelihood of sudden, dramatic changes. While reinvention is natural and often necessary, it’s essential to make mindful choices rather than acting on fleeting impulses. Change wisely—don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater.

The Closing Square of Uranus (Age 61-63): A New Chapter

The closing Uranus square, occurring around ages 61-63, mirrors the themes of the first Uranus square (ages 20-21)—but with the wisdom of experience. At this stage, many are preparing for life after retirement, seeking new ways to express their individuality.

For some, this may manifest as a new hobby, passion project, or even a second career. For others, it’s a time of deep reflection, refining their life’s purpose and focusing on what truly matters.

As with any Uranus transit, this period can bring a strong urge for change—whether in daily routines, habits, or even relationships—to better align with your evolving identity. While change is natural, the key is to embrace it consciously, allowing this period to be one of renewal rather than upheaval.

Uranus Transit to Natal Neptune

Uranus Neptune transit

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Neptune

Uranus-Neptune Transit: Awakening the Visionary Within

Neptune symbolizes imagination, spirituality, and intuition. When transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) to natal Neptune, your sense of inspiration and idealism may be electrified.

You might experience:

  • A sudden flood of creative ideas—this could be a powerful time for artistic expression.
  • An urge to break free from limiting beliefs and imagine a more inspiring future.
  • Heightened spiritual awareness, possibly leading to breakthroughs in mystical or esoteric studies.

At times, this transit can bring a vague sense of dissatisfaction with your current reality, nudging you to seek deeper meaning. The challenge is to ensure that your visions and dreams translate into real-world actions rather than remaining distant fantasies.

Navigating Neptune’s Shadows

Like all planetary symbols, Neptune has both light and shadow. If its positive expressions haven’t been fully developed, a Uranus-Neptune transit can amplify its more challenging aspects.

During this period, feelings of discontent or longing for something more may intensify. If left unexamined, there’s a risk of seeking relief through escapism, such as excessive daydreaming, avoidance, or numbing behaviors (e.g., overindulgence in substances, distractions, or fantasies).

While temporary escapes may feel comforting, they can lead to greater confusion and a loss of direction. Instead of suppressing feelings of restlessness, consider using this transit as an opportunity to explore your deeper aspirations.

Ask yourself:

  • What is my discontent trying to tell me?
  • Am I avoiding something that needs my attention?
  • How can I channel my imagination into something meaningful and inspiring?

By staying conscious and intentional, you can transform this transit into a powerful catalyst for creative and spiritual breakthroughs rather than drifting into uncertainty.

Uranus Transit to Natal Pluto

Transit Uranus Conjunct, Square, or Opposite Natal Pluto

Uranus-Pluto Transit: Sudden Change Leads to Transformation

Pluto represents deep, transformative forces—both internal and external. When transiting Uranus forms a hard aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) with Pluto, sudden disruptions may force you to reexamine your path, pushing you toward profound change.

Uranus awakens individuality and independence, which can spark a strong desire to break away from limiting circumstances. If you’ve felt trapped in unhealthy relationships, stagnant work environments, or oppressive social dynamics, this transit can bring a decisive moment where you say, “Enough is enough!” and take bold action to reclaim your power.

Power Struggles and Collective Dynamics

Pluto also represents power structures, especially within group settings. When Uranus challenges Pluto, conflicts may arise between established authority and the push for change. You may find yourself at odds with rigid hierarchies, corporate policies, or leadership figures who resist innovation.

If you’re in a leadership role, the temptation to enforce your will on others may be heightened, particularly if you’re driven by a strong vision for transformation. However, be mindful that sudden, radical moves can provoke backlash. Instead of forcing change, consider a more subtle, emotionally aware approach.

Uranus-Pluto transit can be a testing ground for how you handle power, rebellion, and transformation—whether you’re challenging authority or wielding it yourself. The key is to navigate change with both courage and self-awareness to ensure long-term success rather than chaos.

Uranus Transit to Natal Ascendant

Transit Uranus conjunct opposite Ascendant

Transit Uranus Conjunct or Opposite Natal Ascendant

Uranus Crossing the Ascendant: Visible Shift of Identity

When transiting Uranus crosses the natal Ascendant, a sudden and noticeable shift in identity can occur, altering how others perceive you. This effect is especially strong when Uranus conjuncts the Ascendant, but significant changes can also emerge when Uranus opposes it.

This transit often coincides with major life events that redefine your role in the world—such as a career breakthrough, a dramatic change in personal style, or a shift in relationship status. Some people experience relocation, symbolizing a new environment that reflects their evolving self.

Real-Life Example: Jeremy Renner and Uranus on the Ascendant

A striking example of this transit occurred in 2012 when actor Jeremy Renner experienced transiting Uranus conjunct his Ascendant. That year, The Avengers was released, and his character, Hawkeye, became a household name. Practically overnight, Renner’s public identity was transformed from a lesser-known actor to a global action star.

Choosing an Independent Path

The Ascendant-Descendant axis represents the balance between individuality and relationships. When Uranus crosses either point, you may feel an overwhelming urge to break free from past expectations and forge a new path.

This period can bring new and exciting relationships that align with your evolving identity, while older connections—especially those that feel restrictive—may naturally fall away. The key is to embrace this period of reinvention and allow yourself the freedom to grow into the next version of who you are meant to be.

Summary: Navigating Uranus Transits

While Uranus transits can bring surprises and sudden upheavals, these changes are rarely random or meaningless. Instead, they serve as catalysts, pushing you toward greater authenticity and a life path that better reflects your unique talents and values.

  1. Uranus has just entered the sign of my ascendant but is still 10 degrees away. My life pace has picked up speed in the past year. Although it seems chaotic i seem to be keeping a balance. Even learning what I need to know to start a podcast which I will very soon.

  2. This great blog article urgently needs to be added as a chapter to the still-in-progress book about transits, dear Hiroki! As always, you explain everything so clearly that even beginners can learn from your texts easily. I’m experiencing a transiting Uranus opposition to my natal Uranus (5°53′ Sag) at the moment; I must say it feels like a tough turbulent time as if all in my life has reached a turning point. Warm greetings, Jasmin

  3. When transit Uranus stationed exactly over my chart ruler (Jupiter) i was in a shocking accident that changed the course of my life. It also happened exactly at 28,5 years old, on a full moon in Scorpio (in a Scorpio moon) corresponding with my Saturn return. Talk about a big whammy and destabilization. It threw me lut of my body and it would take me years to find a semblance of health in my body again.

When Uranus transited my sun, I lost my business of 10 years with my partner, changing the course of my vocational path.

When it transited my mercury, I had 7 months of constant barrage of creative ideas, that I couldn’t even sleep. I had to write and wrote and write it all out. And as suddenly as it came, it was gone.

I read this article looking for info for my upcoming Uranus opposition in about 6 years. Cause I Nataly have Uranus and Saturn flanking my MC opposite my Mars at IC, a very close opposition. So when transit Uranus is going to conjunct my natal Mars, it will also oppose my natal Uranus nad Saturn. Which makes me feel antzy already. This natal constellation has been a torturous mix of one foot on the brake (Saturn) and one foot on the speeder (Uranus) and Mars squashed in between thinking it has any power over the two big bullied and trying to assert it’s will… In vain.

I wonder what how I can best prepare and navigate such a Hefty energy-zinger og a transit when it comes. If you have any nuggets of advice, they’d be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for a great article :-)

    1. Thank you for sharing your experiences — they really show how sensitively you feel Uranian cycles.

One thing I’d gently add is that Uranus transits don’t require extreme or catastrophic outcomes. They tend to amplify places where life has become too rigid, or disconnected from your authentic needs. What changes is often what can no longer evolve in its current form.

In terms of preparation, finding conscious outlets for Mars/Uranus energy (physical/intellectual exertion, experimentation, honest action) might help reduce the sense of being “overpowered” by the transit when it arrives.

I’m glad the article was useful, and your awareness this far ahead is already part of the preparation.

  4. Hi Mr.Nizato
I will have transiting Uranus conjunct my Ascendant in June and Nov (25) and April (26).I feel an approaching event or events that are concerning. Will it be good or bad.Uranus is on the cusp of my 2nd and 3rd(cancer) house conjunct jupiter (which causes further confusion).Cancer rules 3rd
Although I am happy where I have relocated (after 52 years)I have noticed my thoughts thinking about maybe a change of environment.I look at real estate pages and the map of australia thinking of where I might go should i decide to.However it seems unlikely. If it occurs it will be from without.I have also come close to ending friendships with 2 once close friends but it is on hold depending on my next contact with them.On the other hand just recently met up with another close friend after 9 years with a possibility of doing some music that we once were involved in.Also have a concern about my health instigated more by Uranus and its effects on the heart.I have athersclerosis and when this aspect occurs Uranus will be sextile natal jupiter(arteries).I also have an urge to express my musical ability which never had its full expression even if it is only in a small way.Much to expect that may be good and also fear. Will the first pass give me an inclination of what to expect for the other two.

    1. Hi Michael, thank you for the thoughtful message.

It sounds like you’re anticipating a transformative period, and transiting Uranus conjunct Ascendant does strongly support your intuition. Even though some unexpected changes might occur during this period, keep in mind it could very well be your own decision that brings about a fresh new beginning, whether regarding health, relocation or friendships. The first pass of this transit can start a new development that progresses with the remaining two passes – I’ve seen it happen this way, although it’s not always this neat.

Because these transits are layered and highly personal, the best way to offer real clarity would be through a private consultation where I can look at your full chart in detail. That way, we can explore how this period is likely to unfold specifically for you—both the challenges and the opportunities.

Feel free to reach out if you’d like to schedule a session—I’d be happy to support you through this dynamic chapter.

  5. Mr. Niizato, in 2024, Uranus formed a square to my natal Mercury, and nothing significant really happened. Later on, it went retrograde (again nothing), and in two weeks from now, Uranus will form the square aspect to my Mercury for the last time. Is it possible that I will feel this transit more intensely during the final hit? Also, my natal Mercury is in Aquarius, and since Uranus rules Aquarius, could it feel more potent for me?

    1. Hi Julianna,

Transits like Uranus square Mercury can manifest as external events—things that happen to you—but just as often, they reflect what you make happen. If “nothing significant happened” during the first two hits, it might indicate a missed opportunity to embrace new ideas or perspectives. As Noel Tyl said, “Planets don’t do anything; people do.”

The final hit could certainly bring something noticeable, but so were the first and second passes. The question is: have you actively engaged with this transit’s energy, or has your mind been occupied with something else at the time?

With Mercury in Aquarius, you already have a natural affinity for Uranian themes—breakthroughs, innovation, and unconventional thinking. This transit might be the perfect time to challenge outdated mindsets and open yourself to fresh, growth-oriented perspectives. Instead of waiting for something to happen, I encourage you to take the lead in making a meaningful shift!
