So how does relocation astrology actually work?
Put simply, living in a different location gives you a different chart — and with it, a different developmental focus.

You never lose your natal chart; it remains the original map of your life’s unfolding. However, when you live far from your birthplace, certain parts of your natal potential can come into sharper focus. It’s as if a particular area of your chart starts to “wake up,” inviting new experiences and growth opportunities unique to that location.

Time zones can make this process a bit confusing. For example, if you were born around 2:00 p.m. in Tokyo, it would have been just after midnight in Florida at that same moment.

Most astrology software includes a relocation chart function that automatically performs this conversion for you. If you’re doing it manually, keep these points in mind:
