How to Print Your Birth Chart & Midpoints List in Less Than 5 Minutes

Printing Astrological ChartFor the benefit of those new to astrology, I’ll share how to print out your horoscope (also called natal chart) online for free.  For more advanced students, I’ll also cover how to print out your natal midpoints online.

5 Steps to Obtaining Your Birth Chart

1) Find out your time of birth, preferably from a birth certificate. You’ll also need to know the city and state of your birth.

2) Go to www.astro.com

3) Under “Free Horoscopes” choose “Horoscope Drawings & Calculations”, then “Chart Drawing, Ascendant” and go to the data entry page.

4) Complete Birth Data Entry and click Continue

5) Click on the image of your birth chart, and print it – you’re done.

4 More Steps to Printing Your Midpoints List

6) After entering your birth data as shown above, go to “Horoscope Drawings & Calculations” and then “Extended Chart Selection.”

7) Under the “Methods” section find “Chart drawing style” drop down menu (initially set to “Web default style”).  Choose “Keller style (w. midpoints)” and proceed to show the chart.

8) Toward the top left corner of your horoscope, find & click “View the additional tables (PDF)”

9) Save the PDF file and print it out.  You’ll see your natal midpoints listed in zodiacal order, and then in “90 degree order” which is useful but a little beyond the scope of this post.

With your natal chart and midpoints list in hand, you’ll be able to follow most articles in this web site as well as many astrology books.  Happy learning!

  1. Hi, Hiroki.

I feel the following might be a “golden question” no one has thought to ask themselves but that I am compelled to ask myself:

What websites offer synastry charts incorporating midpoint aspects? I have yet to find one. I thought I’d found a feature on astro.com, but selecting the ‘Synastry Chart’ chart type in conjunction with the ‘Keller Style w/Midpoints’ Chart Drawing Style (as well as other combinations) did not yield a synastry chart involving midpoints for both people. Am I missing something? With all the emphasis from so many astrologers, such as you, WHERE is the option to utilize the midpoints in synastry charts?

Please tell me there is a website out there that offers this option. I would even be happy with knowing there’s software, while something I’ve not considered and have no experience with, would still be happy with purchasing. But PLEASE don’t tell me I have to do this work by hand! I have already calculated midpoints for myself and the other person by hand (before, of course, discovering astro.com offered the calculator), so please tell me there is a virtual option to my work which is conducted largely virtually already!

    Thank you in advance,

    Dawn

    • Hi Dawn, I’m not aware of any software that can do what you say. Astrologers use a 90 degree sort table to simplify midpoint calculations (for both natal and synastry analysis) greatly, but that’s takes a bit of practice to get used to.

The main midpoint you want to know about in synastry is the Sun/Moon midpoint, which is very significant in relationships.

  2. What about if somebody is Venus Mars midpoint is a posing another persons Pluto by 2° ?

And if Saturn is conjunct in somebody’s Sun moon mid point by 3° would that mean the relationship would be long-lasting?

Sorry the last two comments were typos

  3. Hi, umm I’ve already downloaded the pdf but i have no idea which one to follow. The zodiacal order? 45 degree? or 90 degree? and also, which planet/ac/mc/node activates it the upper one or the one at the bottom of every grp of midpoints? i hope you could help me pleasee thanks!! xx

    • Hi Ain, you can use the 90 degree sort to find midpoint pictures. I know astro.com’s PDF is a bit cluttered with too much information, but basically you’ll need to know where all of your planets and Angles are (listed on top of PDF), and see if there are any midpoints near each of them (using 1.5 degree orb).

If you’re completely new, 90 degree table is probably unfamiliar to you. Here is how to read it: 0~29 degrees correspond to Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). 30~59 degrees cover the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius). 60~89 degrees cover the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces).

Hopefully this makes sense. If not, probably there are other references out there if you google 90 degree sort and how to read it. After you get your bearing, you can enjoy reading the Midpoints article again. Have fun!

  4. Would it correct to use both mid points and Arabic parts for interpretation if they are both on the same degree for a solar arc event.

    • Hi Ricardo,

Arabic parts are archaic measurements before the time of computers and midpoints (if you think about it, arabic parts also try to combine the 3 symbols’ meaning, which is built into the understanding midpoints.) You do not need them if you have the midpoints.

  5. George Dikker says

Thank you very much for directing me to the midpoint section in astro.com!

  6. Thank you so much, I’ve been looking everywhere for this information!!!

  7. dear Hiroki

I followed those steps and successfully downloaded the pdf file..thanks for the tips… but I cant understand how to decode it!!,do u have any tip for that?

    warm regards

  8. Hi!

I find this post very useful, in the past I often used astro.com but had no idea I could get a mid-point list there.

I also want to ask you about sharing links to some of your posts in FB, do you mind if I do so?
I noticed there are no share buttons, so I was wondering if this is deliberate, meaning you do not want readers to share your posts in FB. Sometimes I really like a post so much that I would like to share it with my astrology friends.

    Thanks for answering.
    Carla
