3 ingredients for original thinking

1) Massive amount of information in your chosen field (e.g. exposure to large amount of music, poetry, writing, astrology, etc.)

2) Willingness to pull the ideas just because you are interested.

3) Ability to discard bad ideas, which requires training and sophistication.

  1. Timothy Neilson says:

When I think of originality I think of Mercury in Aquarius… the mind freely associates without clinging to cherished beliefs… there is a detachment and intensity that allows for letting go of the conventional in favor of the Avant-garde… add Uranus to the mix and there becomes a steady yet unpredictable and sudden inventiveness that is somehow transmitted compulsively through the Fixed Quality of a social and expansive consciousness.

Nice thinking Tim, applicable for Uranus in general.

Noel’s vocational exercise for this week featured a strongly Aquarian/Uranian horoscope of Lewis Carroll, and he exemplifies what we are talking about here!
