In astrology, Mars represents how we need to pursue what we want in order to be effective. Ideally, your Mars needs to be spending most of its time in a state of focused action (the Hunter mode) to bring you closer to your goals. In reality, it’s likely that you also experience Mars as frustration and anger in your daily life. In this article we’ll explore the angry side of Mars in your horoscope and how it may uniquely express itself in your life.
Mars and Anger: Keys for Horoscope Analysis
Cancer-Capricorn Axis: Contrasting Approaches toward Self-Parenting
Opposing signs in astrology represent contrasting approaches toward a common goal. The pair of Cancer and Capricorn share a theme of (self) parenting. Just like their rulers Moon and Saturn, each of them approaches the matter from a completely different standpoint.
The concept of self-parenting is most often seen in “inner child” therapy literature. Put simply, it means we take over the role of parenting our inner child (the child-like part of our emotions) when we become adults – so Moon and Saturn not only represent our parents, but also how we parent ourselves as adults later on.

Interpreting Unaspected Planets (+ Noel Tyl’s Definition of a Peregrine Planet)
Peregrine – Original Definition and Adaptation By Noel Tyl
In traditional astrology, the term “peregrine” was defined as a planet that has no essential dignity (by rulership/detriment, face, term, triplicity) and is not in mutual reception with another planet. A peregrine (meaning “foreign”) planet was considered weak and wandering, much like someone visiting a foreign land without knowing anyone locally.
In the last 20 years, Noel Tyl began to use the word “peregrine” to describe a planet that forms no Ptolemaic aspect (i.e. conjunction, sextile, square, trine or opposition) with any other planet. Rather than considering the planet weak, however, Tyl asserts that these unaspected planets can actually become the dominant feature within one’s personality (in his words, a peregrine planet can run away with the horoscope.) Noel Tyl in Japan
I’m currently in Japan, serving as the interpreter for Noel Tyl during his public seminars and private consultations. It’s a privilege and a great learning experience to witness the master astrologer at work so closely – I’ll be interpreting 24 private consultations and 3 days of public seminar.
I’ll be back in US after September 25th, and will resume consultations on the 28th – I won’t have access to voicemail but will be checking emails at least every few days. Thank you for your patience!
